Dude Drama, Dialectology, & Deja Vu

Well, I haven't blogged for awhile so I guess I'll do that now. I should be doing homework, but I just can't find the motivation as none of it is due tomorrow. You know, that's how I roll.

I think you'll remember that guy I was so enamored of (still am, for that matter), but I've got some news: he's got a girlfriend back in El Salvador. Yes, I can see those jaws dropping. It's a fun time, right? Just what every girl wants to find out about the guy she's been seeing. I've known for awhile now, but we've been working on getting it ironed out. I know it sounds like a really awful thing for him to have done, but I really do think he is a good person and try as I may to hate him, I just can't. We are going to continue being friends, but I am taking some distance from him right now. It's what I need. I mean, if it comes back around in the future, it comes back around. If it doesn't, whatever. There are more Latinos in the sea.

I'm really hating my dialectology class, but I'm really loving my morning conversation class. I mean, I get sick of having to be at school from 8-12 every morning for it, but at least it is fun, and the teacher makes the class enjoyable. I also feel that I am learning a lot. He helps us get down to the nitty-gritty conversational parts of Spanish that other, normal grammatical classes miss. However, dialectology is just torture. Sarah and I sit there and feel as though we are literally dying. At least it lasts only two hours instead of four, and it only meets twice a week. I also need to get studying for my Culture class because we have a midterm or something on Thursday, and I don't really know what's going on.

I got three letters today! I like mail. Just to let everyone know.

I just got deja vu. Like, really bad. Ew.
